My stay at Kindred Clear Lake was WONDERFUL! The staff and the food were both great! The staff were all so caring and on my side with encouragement to push myself to get better even when I just didn’t feel like it. The staff at the other hospital I went to were sweet and caring but not as caring and as encouraging as the staff at Kindred. My wife (who is a retired nurse) agrees with me that everyone at kindred was exemplary and wonderful! We were both apprehensive about going to Kindred but our expectations were FAR exceeded! Thank you so much for everything!
I have (unfortunately) been in and out of the hospital a lot in the past year and I have never had more efficient and organized nurses aid as Kayla. She plan ahead and has everything ready for me before I even have to ask. She is friendly and professional and goes out of her way to make sure I am comfortable. I just love her and wish I could bring her home with me! Truthfully everyone on the staff at Kindred has been wonderful and kind but Kayla is definitely the best of the best!
My recent stay at Kindred Clear Lake was great! Being in the hospital is never fun but thanks to the great care and amazing staff I had a very pleasant experience. The staff were all so very kind and compassionate. I accidentally hurt my foot during therapy and was very scared. As I was being brought to my room the wound care nurse Mia saw that I was crying and she immediacy came to my side, grabbed my hand and stayed with me until I was back in bed. Then she immediately called my podiatrist and got an order for an X-ray and pain medicine and didn’t leave me until I had calmed down. She really was my guardian angel that day!
I was a patient at the wound care clinic, seen by Dr. Guidry. From the facility to the staff to the quality of care everything was extremely satisfactory! I did not have to wait long to be seen and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Everything was clearly explained to me and I felt like I was an important patient.
This is a very very good hospital! Everyone that took care of me was so caring. Nurses Nick and Blondell were the best along with radiology techs Laura and Heather. They were all so compassionate and understanding of my pain and went to any lengths they could to make sure I was comfortable. Nick comes to check on me every shift even if I am not his patient. Laura and Heather took extra care with me and padded the CT table so I would be comfortable. When I got here I was in so much pain I was not participating in my therapy the way I needed to. The therapy team never had a harsh word for me even though I’m sure they got frustrated with me. They took their time and encouraged me to do what I could with just the right amount of “pressure” to do more. Now I am able to stand at the side of my bed for small periods of time. The wound care team has worked wonders on my wound! Guy Nelson and Dr. Armstrong have been thorough and taken great care If me. Prior to this I had been on hospice care. Now I am discharging to a nursing facility to continue my recovery and healing. Thank you !
I am leaving here to be discharged home today and have to say that Kindred Clear Lake helped cure me medically but they have also inspired me to make some changes and start LIVING my life again! They have worked with me and educated me on so many things…given me the knowledge and tools that I can use when I go home. The food here has been AMAZING and I learned a lot about portion sizes and pacing myself when I eat. Everyone here has been so KIND and so HELPFUL and GENUINE! I came here physically sick but also very discouraged about my situation…. The compassion and care that has been shown to me by this staff has reinvigorated me to start living again! I have cried hundreds of tears of happiness and pure gratitude from being at this hospital. I wish I could stay longer but it’s time for me to go home and I feel that I am ready all thanks to the staff here at Kindred Clear Lake.
When I got to Kindred Clear Lake I was on my death bed. When I left I was walking using a walker! I was on the feeding tube when I first got here but now I am eating regular food and able to feed myself. I can’t wait to finish my rehab and I can’t wait to get home to my family! Thank you Kindred Clear Lake!!
I was admitted to Kindred Clear Lake with COVID Pneumonia. I was the ICU for a long time and was very confused and scared so I would pull my breathing tube. I did this multiple times until a very astute nurse realized I could not reach my call light. She put it right next to my hand and just knowing I had that lifeline calmed me down. Even though I pulled my breathing tube more than once no one ever got angry with me or made me feel bad. The would calmly explain to me why I couldn’t do that and promised to check on me frequently. That was comforting. There was one nurse who would whistle all day every day when she walked up and down the hall outside of my room. That sound was so comforting and so “normal” that it gave me hope that I would be ok! Therapy started working with me and even though I was initially scared to stand up after being in bed for so long, they encouraged me and made me feel safe. Eventually I was able to stand on my own two feet and it felt amazing! Thank you to all of the caregivers and staff at Kindred Clear Lake! You saved my life and I will never forget you!
Kindred Clear Lake has some great nurses and CNA’s. You can tell they really care by how compassionate they are. I would like to specifically recognize Dalila, Mayola, Taylor, Elizabeth and Kenya! You all took such good care of me and I thank you!!
The staff here are fantastic! I have enjoyed my stay here so much and don't want to leave! Can't say enough about the great care I received! The food was delicious! Therapy was fun and boy do they motivate you to get up and get moving!! The nurses were always so gentle with me and very careful not to hurt me when removing my stitches. Would I recommend this hospital?......ABSOLUTELY!!!
