I was very happy to see she was back in Cheyenne visiting family and taking patients. I was helped with a flare-up of my Shingles pain and she was able to get rid of the pain quickly with a treatment. I am going to follow up with the other doctor in the office since he comes highly recommended by her.
I had some quick results from Mickeyla's acupuncture, but she moved to Kansas with her husband a few months ago. I was sad to find out she moved but there is a new woman working at her office and I am going to give her a try.
Mickey helped me with my frozen shoulder and then some other issues related to menopause. Was able to get over the hot flashes with her help. She is no longer working with Dr. McCormick in Cheyenne since she is helping him at his Garden City, KS clinic where she relocated full-time. Maybe she will come back and visit us in Cheyenne some time, then I can get in for an appointment.
Mickeyla practices at the Acupuncture Natural Medicine Center of Cheyenne. She is a graduate of a 4 year Masters degree program in acupuncture and Oriental medicine with over 3,400 hours of graduate college education in the field. She is a member of the the Wyoming Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association (wyaoma.org)
I initially was treated by Ms. West, but continued my care with some of the other people working at the wellness center. I will see her again when she is in town since she only visits Cheyenne every few months when she's here visiting family. She helped me deal with some stress by giving me a very relaxing and rebalancing acupuncture treatment. I went to the massage therapist at the office and was impressed too.
Mickey is a graduate of a recognized acupuncture college and does dry needling. I had dry needling done by three physical therapists in town and they HURT ME! It is clear that Mickey has the high degree of training required to be sticking needles in people (a masters degree from an acupuncture college and having passed the national board exam in acupuncture-dry needling), unlike the physical therapists that do this "dry needling' (which is just a term they invented to keep from having to get trained properly in acupuncture) with little to no training (usually just 15 hours in a crash course held on a weekend. What a joke)
She helped me a lot. Originally I was seeing Dr. Ming in Cheyenne, but when he was out of town I saw her and stuck with her. She does a great massage too. Helped my neck pain from a car accident. I couldn't wait to refer in friends and family! When you find a good acupuncturist, you stick with them and this one is GREAT! Everyone should visit this office. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I almost always get the appointment time I want. The background music was lovely. It was clearly chosen to soothe. Perfect volume and it really helped me relax. Handicap issues are always a concern. They really thought things through to the point that I was able to negotiate my way to the office very easily. They always have an immediate answer for me when I call with a question. They would never try to get me to make an appointment unless I really needed one.
Ms. West provided me with a very nice acupuncture experience. She works with other seasoned doctors in her field that she was able to consult with regarding my care. I liked that about the treatment. It was like I had a team of natural health care providers working with me to get me well. I have MS and appreciate the care she and the doctor provdes me. I am a regular patient because they really helped me. The table I laid on during my treatment was so comfortable. I loved the table so much I probably could have fallen asleep on it. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. One of the first things I noticed about this business was the strong efforts they made to make the building handicap-accessible. Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and grab bars in the stalls. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs. They were totally upfront about the costs. I knew what to expect and when so I could plan for it. So helpful! I couldn't wait to refer in friends and family! When you find a good acupuncturist, you stick with them and this one is GREAT! Everyone should visit this office.
Mickeyla is great. She has been working as an associate at Dr. McCormick's practice since 2012 and was a student of the famous Dr. Wu from Shanghai. She collaborates with Dr. McCormick on difficult cases as they use the latest research in Chinese Medicine to come up with treatment strategies. Great stuff! They answered all of my questions thoroughly, giving me more information than I could have hoped for! They are really an expert in acupuncture. I loved how calm and soothing the appointment was. Nobody was argumentative or easily angered and that immediately calmed my nerves. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. Just as a side note, this business is conveniently located and is close to everything. It is right off and freeway and near all kinds of shops. I was able to do my shopping for the week right after my appointment!
