Dr. Surowitz is a caring, compassionate,and very personable doctor.
His office staff is also very professional and compassionate too.

Please enter your review here. Surowitz himself was seen 3 times in 10 years, but staff was sufficient. problem is his billing dept...he hired another medical company and they are the WORST in history. No human contact, won't call back no matter what message you leave., they just don't give a damn. Too bad, the doctor and staff at the office are good, the billing questions and referrals questions... they really suck.

Dr. Surowitz seemed really friendly at first. I went in for multiple strange problems. He scheduled me for about 11 bloodwork tests, x-rays, an echo and a thyroid ultrasound, but wouldn't tell me what he was testing for or why I needed many of these tests. I was wrongly diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse, as my echo confirmed that I did not have. I was also told I had an enlarged thyroid (hence the thyroid ultrasound), but the ultrasound didn't show that either. All he seemed to care to treat me for was nonexistent back pain by having me come in for adjustments. I began to have migraines after each neck adjustment, which was explained to be "the relief of pressure on a nerve" - but I only had pain AFTER the adjustments, not before (and had never been diagnosed with nerve problems in my neck). Once I stopped going, the migraines went away. Then I tried going to another doctor and had a lot of trouble getting my medical records sent over. I also asked that they mail my records to me, and after waiting two weeks I called back only to find out that they only fax medical records or allow you to pick them up live (though no one mentioned that at my original request).

This place is the worst!! The front office staff, Melissa and another girl who had brunette hair, have the RUDEST attitude in person AND on the phone. When you ask them a simple question, they act like they are inconvenienced and are put off. They talk down to you and are not friendly at all. If they hate their job so much, why are they in a customer service position??? We had a 3:00 pm appointment and waited one hour for the nurse practitioner. My best advice is to go somewhere else, why give them your hard earned money to be treated like dirt!!! We were there about 1 year ago and the doctor isn't even serious, he tries to joke around and isn't even funny. What a dope. STAY AWAY from this dump.
