We have only seen the dr twice (consult and tube chec) - all other times are a nurse / medical asst. Some of the verbal instructions about 'full vs semi bladder' and where (location) to take the trigger shot were different than the paperwork/video. .
At the beginning of the process, more information was needed for us. We were not given all of the details necessary and the attitude of the staff was not as helpful as we had hoped. There was also one point when the nurse advised my cousin to get a new surrogate. I think that the nurse's personal opinions should be kept to themselves. We were trying to make educated decisions about timing without all the information.
I LOVE Dr. Nackley. My husband and I could not be more pleased with her conscientiousness and communication style. That is saying something as my husband was not totally on board with moving towards any kind of fertility treatment. He has said multiple times how happy he is with our doctor and excited about our new family member. The entire staff has been excellent to work with, which makes it hard to accept less in our other medical providers in our town. The only negative thing I have to say, for what little this may be worth, is not a reflection of the doctor or staff, but the space for men to provide samples might be a little more welcoming. A smart tv with bluetooth headphones. A recliner with a paper cover. It's certainly not my area of need or expertise, but just thinking about what I might have heard from someone who wasn't super cooperative at first to begin with... Again, I have been absolutely thrilled with how everyone has worked with me and my commute from so far and crazy work schedule that has caused rescheduled appointments.
