I put my parents here because the .gov site said they were good. From the first night there, I knew I had to get them out of there! Their first meal was cut up greens with vinegar and beans. The food is horrible! The care was horrible, take up to an hour to answer help lights! My mother who was not sickly but went there just to be with my dad, was dead in 3 weeks. She qualified for Assisted living but only went to be with her husband. Then when she died, they removed / destroyed all the records of the last week of her life from her file to cover themselves! Because it is county owned, it's almost impossible to get a lawsuit filed if anything goes wrong with your loved one because there are new rules for lawyers.

I was very upset that they didn't want to answer my questions!! One nurse on several occasions would make me stand and wait for her for up to 10 minutes before she would acknowledge me, I asked 4 times over the course of a week and nothing was ever done for my mother. My mother would be alive today if I had never put her there! Beware! It's all about the money and filling the bed - not about care! Don't be deceived by their sales pitch! I was and now I regret it! P.S. the food is gross!
