Brookhaven Medical Care Facility is one of 36 County Medical Care Facilities in the State of Michigan. This special designation distinguishes us from other skilled nursing homes in that our mission is to provide care and services based upon the philanthropic needs of the community. We are owned by the County of Muskegon, and operated through a joint effort between Muskegon County, its Board of County Commissioners, and the Muskegon County Department of Health and Human Services Board of Directors.

We have 138 dual-eligible Medicare and Medicaid beds, making Brookhaven one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in the area. Residents enjoy exceptionally large private and semi-private rooms that provide each person with their own window with beautiful views, in addition to access to our one-acre, fully enclosed natural courtyard area.

I invite you to come and visit Brookhaven! We have made some fantastic changes over the past year that benefit our community even more. Spacious, private rooms with attached half baths for all short-term rehab patients; private and semi-private rooms with attached half baths located on all other units. In addition, our secure memory care unit features a state-of-the art multisensory room and specialized staff. RN staff is also onsite 24/7. We treat all after-hospital care except for vents and feeding tubes. Dialysis patients accepted as well. Medicare, private pay and Medicaid accepted. Call and schedule your personalized tour today!

I wouldn't send my dog to this place. Getting information regarding family members is like pulling teeth. Instructions relayed to nursing staff regarding specific needs for the patient were ignored or acknowledged only after several attempts to have them carried out. Some of my father's clothes came up missing and no one seemed to know where they were. This place is only in business for the money. They have very little regard for the patients or their families.
Do NOT send any family member there if you care about them at all.
