Self Criticism

Now here is an interesting 'catch 22'. Self Criticism Without it we cannot improve ourselves. Too much of it and we are doomed to attracting nothing but negativity into our lives. So 'What do we do?'

I really think that we always need to take into consideration a couple of things on a very conscious level ... Is what I am thinking, saying, doing productive or helpful to me or someone else in some way or another. Is it really something that needs to thought or said. Dr BJ Palmer DC said "You never know how far reaching something you will say, do, or think today will be tomorrow." As I was going through school I would read that every day and think to myself how true that is and how smart this guy was.

As a doctor I am starting to realize the true significance of that statement. I am amazed with what I do every day and I am amazed with the things that others do and sometimes a little disappointed with us both. It is said "As a man thinketh, so he shall become" or we can say the same thing 'we are today what we thought yesterday' or we are the products of our thoughts, speech and actions of our past. This has been said many times in many different disciplines no matter who says it, it doesn't become any less true.

Do yourself a favor. Control your thoughts. Keep your hands clean. Bite your tongue. Do these things and you will be a happy person enjoys yourself with others around you who love you and enjoy you too. You are an influence in others lives and wellbeing the question is what kind of influence do you want to be.
