Focus review on front staff not MD. Spoke to T. Antin less than three minutes to say I was leaving. Surprised a CEO was not more questioning and being an MD was not able to read my hesitancy. I was asked by him why I was leaving right in the hallway. The receptionist stood right next to me while both were oblivious to the fact it was none of her concern. I just simply said this is not for me. But for the introduction at the front door…
I have great difficulty being put on the spot. A similar situation ruined a relationship with a PCP I had great respect for. I froze at his DEMAND for an immediate answer which was not like him at all. Parkinson’s has greatly affected executive function. Given time, or a non-confrontational one on one, I am fine. While I do own this as my issue, PD and Early Lewy Body Dementia will not allow ownership for too much longer.
The receptionist, fancying herself a clinical intake person, was quite adept at making me feel “less than.” Apparently being on the entrance side of reception renders one inferior; at least through her eyes. I completed release of records forms for myself, PCP, and Neurologist. Without even looking at me it was stated that records are not given to patients. I explained that this was a consult unless I decided to continue Tx and I needed the records. If I could not have them they might as well cancel the appointment. I believe, she believed, that she asked me to have a seat and get comfortable. Speaking again to the computer, she said SHE would ask the doctor what he thought about it and now looking at me I should “go” have a seat over there. I refrained from mentioning that I have been a nurse for over forty years, fifteen were in middle management; three as VP of Nursing and COO; five as CEO of psychiatric-chemical dependency hospitals and, capable of discussing this with the MD myself. Before remanding myself to a chair I was also told she had my appointment down as two in the afternoon. When I told her I received confirmation of the appointment I was told to find it and let her see it.
I mentioned recalling taking the 10:30 having made this appointment in late August and was given a 2:00 by the scheduler. When I repeated 2:00 on such and such a date with Dr. Antin she said “No, no I made it with his PA.” If I did not specifically say Dr. Antin I would have shown up and been a very unhappy camper. I declined her offer and repeated that I asked for a time with Dr. Antin. Following grumbles and sighs she told me it could not be until 11/01/2021 at 10:30 and an afternoon is not available until December as though I would simply say okay to the PA. I said that 11/01 at 10:30 would be fine and logged it ion my calendar while speaking to her.
I was looking forward to this appointment and actually felt that Dr. Antin seemed like a very nice person.

Don't use this provider. It is an assembly line operation that uses grad students for most of the work. The people that see you are always in a hurry and they are not very professional. It is a very large and impersonal environment.

Parking is a challenge. The lot outside is small and often full whenever I have a visit. I suggest arriving 15 minutes before your appointment to find a space or make arrangements to be dropped off at office.

I have been very pleased with PACT Atlanta. I was anxious when I first visited, due to the unknown, but as I kept coming back for check-ups I felt safe and also felt that Dr. Antin understood my specific symptoms. He was able to accurately describe the effects of my "disabilities" and predict the changes that would occur once on my medication. It is clear he has in-depth knowledge of specific problems like OCD and anxiety. He explained medicines that he prescribed me and length of time it would take for my brain to accept the new chemicals. I am so much more emotionally balanced and a much happier person. I like that Dr. Antin only prescribes medicines necessary to improve my mood, anxiety, and OCD...nothing was prescribed unnecessarily. Now that I have seen results and feel happier and healthier Dr. Antin is going to help me come off the medicine (now that my life if more stable). One of my biggest fears going into my first psychiatry appointments was being prescribed medications that are addictive. I trust this practice and would recommend Dr. Antin to anyone who needs help in the areas of anxiety and OCD.

After seeing more than a handful of doctors, I am so grateful to have found Dr. Antin of PACT Atlanta. The office isn't fancy, but that's not what I looking for in a great psychiatrist. I have been looking for a doctor with a deep knowledge and understanding of my diagnosis, which is bipolar. He definitely has the experience, knowledge and compassion that I was hoping to find. I was so happy at my first appointment that he was able to change and reduce my medications. I felt so much better within days. Dr. Antin has an amazing administrative support staff. Also, this is a teaching facility and med students are completing their psych rotations. I did not know that I would feel this way, but this model is allowing me to gather my thoughts and give thorough information to the students for my treatment plan, prior to seeing Dr. Antin. This has been a great benefit to me, as I do not feel rushed or anxious. And also I appreciate that PACT Atlanta is teaching and mentoring our next generation of medical professionals. I highly recommend this practice!

I've been seeing Dr Antin for over 11 years. This has always been a very professional practice. Dr. Antin has been extremely helpful in helping me get past psychological issues and he is very encouraging regarding my progress. As a pastor and a counselor I encourage parishioners and clients to come to Dr. Antin for psychological needs.

Fantastic! You can tell Dr. Antin loves his job. Wonderful attitude and probably the most thorough check-ups I've ever had. My appointment was one of the last ones of the day and never once did I feel like I was being rushed. Also the assistant, is just as attentive as Dr. Antin. You'll be in great hands with him!
