Dr. Wei is very knowledgeable, focused and attentive in person, and I achieved medical gains, including significant weight loss (34+ lbs.) under his care – beyond my greatest expectations (of course I had a lot to do with that personally too). Unfortunately, he’s not great about follow-up, and his front desk staff is so problematic, they actually inspired this review.
They’re shockingly combative, insulting, combative and obfuscating, and inappropriately inhibit the doctor from applying proper care. For example, I had a study in April for which I had to call in 5+ times to get the results, only got them verbally, never got the report that instructed me to undergo further testing – and I still don’t know where, when or how to get my next test! I also have to agree with the other negative review saying “don’t go to this guy for a prescription”; to wit, I’ve had to call in multiple times for each prescription, and some never came. I even had to seek support from online “pharmacies” and other less savory sources for my meds.
It’s a shame and an object lesson in the balance between good medicine and good office management. At the end of the day, however, one has to look at the final results, which for me are truly mixed.
