My wife an I get an annual preventative screening every year. We are new to the area and selected this doctor listed our insurance network.
You have to go for a new patient establishment visit before they schedule an annual. They do not tell you about new patient fees when you schedule the appointment, or during check-in/check-out. They code the annual visit as part of the new patient visit (not covered by insurance) and charge $500+ (which would be covered by insurance if coded correctly).
The doctor is accepting new patients but established patients cannot get an appointment for months. Find a different doctor with better ethics.
