Update - I did not mention the ophthalmologist I last saw there last time refused to place tear duct plugs. He said I did not have dry eye, based on nothing, no tests on my eye done. When I complained to the manager, she said the doctor said that because he was not going to get any money from my insurance company. She said I would have to come back to see another doctor and pay for the second visit. I said no. Today I had to drive back to my former ophthalmologist in NYC and pay out of pocket for the plugs. He said it was ridiculous that I was told I no longer have dry eye without doing any tests or asking me how my eyes feel. He said plugs provide great relief and there is no excuse for Danbury Eye Center to provide me with proper care. As a matter of fact, I found out all the advice they gave me there about my eyes was wrong. Yes, I agree with the comment that the staff is a major issue here and worse yet, the doctors are aware and not doing one thing about it. I showed up for my appointment 2 days ago only to be told that a receptionist had cancelled my appointment without telling me and no one understood why. I returned today and was seen by the wrong doctor. I was told by the manager that I would have to come back yet again and that I would have to pay for TWO exams, because two doctors had to get paid for their time. No apologies about the time I lost or apologies for directing me to the wrong doctor. Unbelievable.
