Your a new patient, oh yes I can help you, but then when your injury does not heal or get better after surgery and rehab and you go back to him in pain he then thinks your 'faking" or are trying to cheat the system and he will treat you with no respect. Sad he is able to still be in any practice. Stay clear he can also be nasty out loud.
Unfortunately Dr. Stein was unable to help my son with his shoulder pain. Three years ago my son dislocated his right shoulder while playing volleyball. Since that time my son has been in varying degrees of pain. When the pain got unbearable my son borrowed some pain pills from a friend. Upon visiting Dr. Stein it is my belief that he pre-judged my son because he has tattoos and was honest about obtaining pain medication without a prescription. Dr. Stein told my son he was not going to write a prescription for pain meds. My son had shoulder surgery yesterday, performed by Dr. Matthew M. Tomaino. Dr. Tomaino repaired the rotator, tightened the shoulder and removed the "spiderwebs" from my son's shoulder. Too bad Dr. Stein erroneously judged my son, but we are very thankful that Dr. Tomaino was able to be objective, look beyond the tattoos and help my son.
