Dr McClelland is an amazing psychotherapist,
At the lowest point of my life (1995-1997) his insightful counseling was a perfect cure to gain an emotional grip to a healthy life journey. I highly recommend his services and can't thank him enough for saving my life.

Through me; all his insights have trickled down to my family, offering them emotional wisdom and a healthier lifestyle. Thanks to Dr McClelland I have a beautiful family legacy that I'm proud of. His honest, ethical & professional guidance is rare in a world where people are so full of themselves. Where others in his field only talk the talk, He talks and walks all he teaches.

At first I was like some of the other people here. I would wait a long time to be seen past my appointment time and would be very frustrated, thinking, how dare this person make ME wait!

But then I realized that when I was in therapy he would talk to me for hours if needed. He doesn't cut people off and say time's up! He is 100% there for YOU. But here is the consequence. We all end up making each other wait. It's not him making you wait. You are free to leave at any time. The fact that so many people put up with a long wait means he is good at his job.

I don't know anything about his personal life, and honestly, I don't care. What is most important is not how good of a person he is. What it most important is how good at his job is he? The best.

We tend to be very egocentric and this prevents us from seeing what is really going on in the bigger picture. He never explained to me why I had to wait so long or why he missed appointments frequently and didn't return my calls. But when I stopped being so self-centered, I figured it out. And when I truly had an emergency, even in the middle of the night, he picked up the phone right away and helped me. Sometimes we feel something is an emergency but it is not. When it TRULY is, he is there.

He recommended that my daughter, who was suffering from severe post traumatic stress disorder, be allowed to attend high school. I followed up on his advice even though I was successfully homeschooling her. High school ended up being a fiasco and she ended up back in the hospital. I contacted him in regards to his advice but never heard from him again. He is not accountable whatsoever for his actions.

Therapists only have book knowledge but this is of hardly any value in real life. Talk to a good friend and you are better off.

Not at all! I had to schedule an appointment for absolutely everything!
Did the staff make you feel uncomfortable when you called with questions or concerns?
Absolutely! They made me feel like my questions and concerns were stupid
Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you?
Yes! He/she took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.

He makes you wait for hours. Doesnt show up to appointments. Doesnt call when he is running late. Nice person but completely disrespectful of clients time. So many people were upset. In addition, he has dated patients and is now married to one. This guy is a disaster and needs a therapist...a good one!

My family dr. recommended I see a theripist. I had been in a physically abusive marriage. After 8 months of "therapy" ( I now call is manipulation) we started having a physical relationship. It lasted for years and now I am far more depressed , confused, scattered and don't know how to get back to a normal life. This therapist persueded me to give him a lot of money and he ended up stealing alot of my property while I was out of state visiting my parents. I didn't know what to do, I stayed in my room, cryed, and cut off all freinds and family for a couple of years. Yes, he is a liar and spent so much of my money gambling playing Texas Holdem in Commerce, CA. That's why he canceled so many of his patients appts. In fact I was the one who he got to make alot of the calls informing them of cancelations. Indeed he should be prosecuted!!!!

They ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. He is one dishonest Doctor, destroyed my family, our case and damaged my son. He needs to be prosecuted for lying, taking money and not doing the job, and dodging the court and the appointments, and charging people for false hope and recommendation that never happen. He is a con artist.
