Every month our daughter sees psychiatrist to get her prescription refilled. The pharmacy has to send over preauthorization forms in order for insurance to pay. The pharmacy, every month, has to send request 3 to 4 times and when I call clinic they tell me it has not been received. They finally respond when you reach an insane level of frustration.There is something seriously wrong with this practice. These are meds that they cannot just quit taking. There should be some recourse for this kind of action.

The psychiatrist that my daughter was seeing was quite strange, but my daughter was still happy to have someone to talk to & it really helped us out that they provided free services while my husband was out of work & we had no medical insurance.

It would've worked better if any of the medicines she tried to put my daughter on where covered under the North Star program. Everytime she tried, it was denied by the program, so the only thing my daughter could ever take was anti-anxiety medicine. Although that helped a little, she really needed the ADHD medicine, which was quite expensive.

In all fairness to the clinic, and I've gone there off and on since 2009,(due to circumstances) its the best place I've ever been to. I've talked to just about everybody down there and I always get treated like I'm important to them because I am. I check myself in to Green Oaks for evaluation without hesitation if I know I'm not doing well. If a Doc has to suggest that you go there, then u r missing their point, which is hey, u need some extra help that they can't give you with an hour a month. So go somewhere else. Drs and nurses, I find, are very kind and compassionate to me when I'm in trouble. And especially at Green Oaks. These people aren't your mom or dad or family. They are just doing the very bed that they can do. So lighten up and take a look at yourself. We are mentally ill, not them. I love the Alma Center staff. I think.yall are being waytoo hard on them. They are the cream.of the crop to me.

Eddie Hawkins asked at reception desk to talk with his case manager about getting individual counseling. He witness a message being written to the person who sets up his needs at your facility. That was 3 weeks ago and he never heard back.
He needs to verbalize his feelings over his depression since his Spring bout in a psych facility for suicidal ideations. I'm a bit taken back as how long it has taken to get him at least a conversation about what is available.
Could we please get a response ASAP.

I have never experienced more biased advice in my life than after my session with this counselor. It was so unhelpful and I would have been better off just talking to someone I know. I wouldn't feel right recommending them to others. They were completely inadequate. They showed absolutely no concern for my situation. It was obvious that they didn't care about me at all. I definitely won't be going back. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was ok. I was pretty comfortable the entire time. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. It's very disappointing, when you complain that something does not work, and they ask you what is it that works, when they should be the ones to help you to find the solution, not you on your own - then you don't need that service, so what is it for?
