One of the best Dr i took my beloved pet to. My cat had surgery for cancer. He was wonderful, loving to my cat. It was a hard surgery , did the best to get all the cancer. He rebounded excellent, but 7months later it came back and took his life. This Dr felt as bad as i did, did everything he could but it spread too fast. I would recommend him to any one. His knowledge and love for animals shows. He truly cares. Thank you Dr. Bookbinder
Dr. Bookbinder set the leg of our 6.5 pound mini poodle about twelve years ago. She was still a young puppy so we weren’t sure how her recovery would go.
Needless to say, she has lived a long, healthy full life. We couldn’t believe how high she could jump!!
I have had my old pup Lightning have an ACL repair here years ago and they were wonderful. My 4 yr old Pup Harley is having issues and her showed me the xrays and explained her one issue, she goes tomorrow to get different xrays with them to see if we need to do ACL repair on her. I definitely trust them with my babies. It's well worth the 45 minute drive to see the Dr. because they office staff and Dr Bookbinder are all compassionate and wonderful.
Dr. Bookbinder has a real passion for the welfare of the animal. It is clear he really cares about what is the best option for the pet. He was very informative about the whole procedure. I would absolutely trust him and be a return client if I ever have any other issues that require his area of expertise.
Dr. Paul Bookbinder is without a doubt the finest Veterinary Surgeon we've ever encountered. We've had several large dogs and undergone a number of surgical procedures with them over the years.
Our most recent dog, Buddy, was a 9 and a half-year-old black Labrador Retriever, who developed osteosarcoma of his left foreleg in September 2018. Our local Veterinarian, Dr. Sean Gaw, from New Hartford Animal Hospital and Care Center recommended Dr. Bookbinder without hesitation if we were going to consider amputation surgery. We did and set up an appointment in Dr. Bookbinder's clinic, the Upstate Veterinary Hospital, at 220 Genesee Street, in Canastota, NY 13032, phone (315) 363-4433.
From our initial consultation, through the surgery and follow-up appointments, Dr. Bookbinder, and his assistant Diane Ledley, were exceptionally kind, efficient, professional, and caring. As a Family Physician for over 40 years, I understand bedside manner and quality relationships between patients and care providers. Dr. Bookbinder truly cares about his patients and their owners. He put us as much at ease as possible about the diagnosis and the treatment options and gave us the facts we needed to make a good decision.
Buddy's surgery went flawlessly on November 19, 2018, and because of the expert procedure Dr. Bookbinder performed, he lived an additional 10 months of quality life when the median survival after this diagnosis and treatment is only 6 months.
We will be forever indebted to Dr. Bookbinder for his caring treatment of our precious pet.
If any of your dogs or cats were to need surgery of any kind, please consider this phenomenal Veterinary Surgeon. He is without a doubt the best there is in this region.
I have nothing but GOOD to say about Dr. Paul Bookbinder and his staff. He is a very caring Doctor. Our ShihTzu Jingles has had 2 surgeries preformed by Dr, Bookbinder. We were very happy with Dr, his staff, and his facility. I would HIGHLY recommend The Upstate Veterinary Surgical center. Mrs. Brenda Castelli
