"9/18/17 - It kills me to give even one star to such a poor quality veterinary clinic. This clinic was recommended to college students to spay a rescue. When the appointment was made, the clinic did not accurately convey the correct charges. When the college students picked up their dog, more charges had been added. In reading previous reviews, I see this is a common practice of the Timber Creek Small Animal Hospital. I will be contacting the Humane Society, rescues and the Better Business Bureau to ensure I do what I can to warn others of this price gouging clinic.
Side note: Interesting that TCSAH writes its own review, with 5 stars, to jack with the average of reviews."

In response Dusty (vet), replied online to my review, with another "review" of 5 stars: He wrote: "In response to Kaye Garrison: That review is completely false, and will be reported. Her daughter made an appointment specifically asking if we could spay a dog "in heat". Our receptionist and technician informed her of the additional charge. Your daughter made the appointment, and whether she communicated this to you, or not, is out of our hands. We notice that you have only given one star for each business you have recently reviewed...."

Instead of calling me back as requested, the man chose to "call me out online." Sorry Dusty. I won't back down from dishonesty by your staff and your lack of integrity to call me back. My reply to his retort to my review: "9/19/17 - In response to Dusty's retort to my review on 9/18 (giving himself another 5 stars to try to bring up his rating which seems to speak for itself with a 3.5), my daughter would NOT have brought the dog in IF the clinic had properly informed her of the charges, both over the phone AND when she came in with the dog the morning of the spay. Why not wait for a few days and allow the heat to take its course if the cost had been known?
I requested to speak to the Office Manager when I called, but was forced to speak to the office staff who had been rude to my daughter on the phone. When it was apparent we were getting nowhere, I asked to speak to the veterinarian. I was told my call would be returned, but time has passed, with no call - only an angry response to my review. Is this good business practice? I think not. Who wants to do business with a veterinarian who will not call you back to discuss your concern, but chooses to rather address you online???
In the past, I have left only reviews for businesses that have forgotten how to treat a customer with respect and courtesy. I will continue to do so, but realize I really should leave reviews for those businesses who are true examples of integrity and honesty. Thanks Dusty!"

Please find elsewhere to take your pets! The reviews, both on Google and their FB page, of unkind staff AND veterinarian are not worth it for the animals we love so much!

Timber creek has been seeing my three dogs and three cats for many years. With 6 animals, I have been there many times. Every time, they have been very nice and given my pets the very best care.

My fiance's cat has been sick for about month and a half ever since she was spayed here. When we sought treatment from Timber Creek the vet said that well we can either just treat the symptoms which clearly is IBD. Today the vet said that they refused to further treat our cats IBD because we can not afford the approximately $100 in tests that would say that she either had or did not have an incurable disease that had caused the IBD. basically because we could not afford to perform basically useless tests as far as treating her disease. I highly encourage ANY ONE to look else where when looking at a vet for their pet.

This vet works with the Humane Society in Amarillo. He must hate doing what he does he was rude when questioned about the neutering of a puppy at an early age and became angry when questioned. Showed no concern over animals or empathy to an animal lover like me who just wanted some reassurance. He Stated "They bring these animals here and I fix them and send them out" I voiced my concern at work to friends and two of them said "NEVER GO THERE." One boarded her animals there and came back to find they had been laying in their own feces and urine for the week and had sores on their bellies from it and their pads were sore from being crated. She paid extra for them to pamper her pets.. She called everyday and they assured her they were fine.

They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them. The staff went out of their way to make both me and my pet feel welcome. It felt like they really cared about both of us. They always make sure to return my phone call as soon as possible. They've never left me waiting. I was pretty surprised with how far away this business was from everything. It took me forever to get there and I kept getting lost.
