I used to take my pets (dog & cat since they were babies) to Dr. Mancuso's veterinarian clinic in Woodmere during the 80's. The doctor had a knack at making the animals calm and always respectfully gave the best advice & options for treatment in clear terms.I'll always remember the cockatoo that sat on the Dr's shoulder that would remove the cover of a hypodermic with his beak when my pets were given thier shots. My dog especially loved going for her vet visits & the staff loved having her when I left her there in the kennel when I went on vacation. I never worried about the care she would receive & they kept in touch while I was gone. One time when I came to take her home it took some effort to get her out to my car like a kid who does not want to leave her friends. I even once brought him a puppy sick with parvo that was found on the street knowing Dr. Mancuso would do everything possible to save it. Unfortunately, the disease was to far gone & had to put the puppy down but not until a few days of treating him in hopes that he could recover. In 1988 I moved from the Five Towns as my apartment building was destroyed by a fire. My cat perished. I moved back into my family's home but continued to bring,my dog to Dr. Mancuso until it became too inconvenient. I have never found a better veterinarian & staff since.
