Dr. Bhatti misdiagnosed a simple condition in my cat, repeatedly. He prescribed copious amounts of antibiotics, shots, ointments, drops (over $500 worth) for a viral condition. Dr. Bhatti is supposed to have "a wide range of clinical interests and skills, with particular interest in immune-mediated disease", which is EXACTLY what his new treatment team has diagnosed him with: "eosinophilia keratitis of both eyes, a process of abnormal inflammatory response and is linked to herpes virus infections".
My cat is now being treated by the competent team at UCD; however, I'm unsure of prognosis.
Dr. Bhatti also treated my 10-year-old Maltese, Sushi, whose condition(s) only worsened under his care, and was euthanized April 2016.
I would not allow him to treat my 13-year-old Golden Retriever. I would not allow her to go through what Sushi did. She was euthanized August 1, 2016, my home, in my arms, on her bed, by a compassionate, capable vet (who charged half the price and sent a sympathy card 2 days later).
Sushi was euthanized in a hurried manner in Dr. Bhatti's cold exam room. I have much regret. Sushi deserved better. So much better. No compassion. No card. Twice as expensive for an 11lb dog?
I pray my cat pulls through.
RIP Sushi, I miss you so. May God forgive Dr. Bhatti and, me, for trusting.
