I went to this woman Puig-Casauranc right after I was diagnosed with breast cancer so I was in crisis and very vulnerable at that time. I am a childhood trauma survivor and I had previously been diagnosed with Complex PTSD and I had been in treatment for that diagnosis many years before. I had read Pete Walker's book on complex PTSD and the author suggested going to a therapist who specialized in EMDR treatment which this therapist stated that she practiced EMDR on the Psychology Today website where I found her name. She has since removed that EMDR specialty from her profile since she does no practice EMDR therapy. During my therapy with her; I found her to be self-centered, had no empathy, was very impressed with herself and was abusive towards me. An example was that she was consistently late for our appointments after the first month and the one time I was in the bathroom when she was ready for the appointment after SHE was 20 minutes late she yelled at me at the top of her lungs accusing me of being late. Her attack triggered a PTSD episode for me and I decided to leave therapy. Thankfully I have since found a therapist who is empathic, knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful, and skilled in several therapeutic modalities and thanks to her I have made great strides in my recovery from trauma.
