Social Security sent me to this very unprofessional man for a mental health evalutation for my disability claim. He was rude, didn't look at me THE ENTIRE TIME and that is not an exageration. When asking me questions, he kept looking out the window and at his notepad. When I tried to answer one of his questions, he would interrupt me and ask a different question. I was FURIOUS when I read his report and said that I kept looking at my phone!!!!! When he would ask me for exact dates for events, I looked at my phone for the calendar. I had my phone in plain site of him and a NORMAL PERSON would notice that the only time I looked at the phone was when I was saying "Let me see...that would have been ______" (the date that he was asking for. Plus, he NEVER looked at me so how would he know if I was looking at my phone or not. I'm in my 40s and have seen many doctors and a few mental health doctors. This man, BY FAR, is the worst doctor I have ever seen! HORRIBLE! If Social Security says they've set an appointmen for you to see Dr. Lawrence J. Allen, you need to contact them and insist they send you to someone else. If they don't you need to INSIST that you video tape the entire session so he will either BEHAVE or you can prove his misbehavior!

One of the worst professionals I have ever dealt with in any field, and is incapable of mediating any conflict in a reasonable manner due to his own personal problems and behavioral misguidance. Sued and attacked his former wife in a divorce/child custody battle for almost seven years over even the most minute items all the way until the child was 18. Encourages this same kind of behavior in his patients and rewards this ongoing aggressive behavior which just feed his billing cycle. Of course, both of the parties in my case had to go to court in order to get him to actually hand over any kind of billing statements he was accusing both of us for non-payment. Took an actual case infront of a judge to get him to hand over any statements. Avoid this quack at ALL COSTS. Object and file any motion to remove him from your case.
