Seven years ago a friend recommended I see Dr. Foster after I learned that my child, designated female at birth, was transitioning to male in his early 20s. I felt ill-equipped to navigate this terrain. There were no friends to talk to, who could share their like experience with me. After about five sessions, Dr. Foster assured me I was ready for the "transition" in my life. She was correct! What I learned in that short period prepared me to move forward in a happy, healthy, successful relationship with my son. The process is quite a journey, but her counsel has been priceless.
