The doctor paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. The office staff is a joke! They NEVER answer the phone, but let it ring incessantly, and ignore you when you are standing in front of them at the counter. They even charged my card twice for my co-pay!! However, the doctor was thorough and I felt like my needs were met regarding meds. The office was easy enough to find, although very crowded and no good magazines to occupy my time (I came from 2 hrs away and ended up an hour early for my appointment. A nice variety of magazines would have been nice while I waited. Do they really need 20 copies of Parent Magazine in a psychiatry office?). I'll be going back for another appointment, but will be wary of any appointments after that. I didn't have a bad experience, but was not impressed with the facility. It's definitely not like my old doctor's office (peaceful, clean, compassionate, and great variety of reading materials).

During my first "get acquainted" appointment, I met with a "doctor" who totally misdiagnosed me and refused acknowledge the diagnosis I've had for years. Frankly, It disturbed me to see a doctor spend all of twenty minutes and totally remove all medication I'd previously was prescribed for years, and a 10 year diagnosis, by my past doctor. He was not only reckless with his prescriptions but after only one visit he never returned to the clinic.

The night prior to my second appointment I received a reminder call at 10:30 P.M. I arrived at my appointment, only to be told the second doctor was no longer working there. I asked why i wasn't notified, the receptionist didn't respond, but rather asked me if I wanted to reschedule with another doctor. It didn't help that I mentioned this was the second doctor leaving in less than a month since I started. She apologized and proceeded to arrange for yet another doctor.

After looking around the room I noticed the amount of people waiting and decided not to argue at the counter, I took the next appointment available and left the office. When I returned home and tried to call the office to cancel, since I felt they lacked respect for my time to call and let me know the doctors were not available, plus the fact the doctors lacked respect. I felt this place was NOT going to waste one more minute of my life. I found it irresponsible for professional doctors to up and leave a facility like this, they could not give me the quality of care I deserved. I don't recommend using this place but if you do find a need to go here, make sure you document all attempts at contact and if you don't get the care you need, find an agency that will help write a complaint to an Ombudsmen. Low income should not mean bad medical support. You do have rights.

By the way, when I tried to get in touch with the office, it was useless at best. I only received a recording instructing me to hit # next time to bypass the long-winded message. Only the # is invalid. I never did receive a return call.
