We are on day 12 of a never ending stay after major surgery. The nursing staff is abysmal (and we have been on two different floors). They could care less about the patients. It takes faking a heart attack to get any attention. The doctors are competent but powerless to get the nurses or radiology staff to do what they order. Everything moves at a snail's pace (12 hours to get a cat scan, 3 hours to get someone to help a patient go to the bathroom). We spent 18 hours in a hallway in the emergency room waiting for a bed. They may offer the latest and greatest in medical technology but they dont know the meaning of the word "Care."
