I had a heart attack and was taken to Cayuga emergency room. The team was wonderful. They took care of everything very efficiently. I was prepped and in surgery very quickly and took very good care of my heart. Once in ICU the team were more than gracious and took care of all my needs. I would defiantly recommend this facility.
Everyone was very nice and very professional. They made me feel as if I were as important as everyone else there. All in all it wasn't a bad experience, I had surgery and was out of there very quickly. From time of arrival to discharge I was there a total of 5 1/2 hours. The only compaint that I have is I didn't really get the discharge process as I was never told when I could return to work, if I needed to follow up with the surgeon or my primary. Those kinds of things but other than being hurried through as if I went through a drive through it was good. As I said the people were great.
My surgery at Cayuga Medical with Dr. Milner was very easy, great support and clear communications from everyone involved - including the nurses, anesthesiologist, and OR crew. Everything explained clearly, and everything completed in a timely manner.
I came to the Emergency Department with severe covid symptoms and was admitted for a 2 night stay. The staff was consistently kind, responsive, respectful and caring. Outstanding care! Particular shout out to Allison (nurse) on 4 North. But everyone was really friendly, professional and made a difficult experience much more bearable. Thanks to all!!!
I was at the hospital on 6/23 for a breathing function test which I really don't like to do. However, the respiratory therapist, Bryan Merry, made it bearable. I greatly appreciated his couching and patience.
Absolutely horrible. Zero starts if I could. Acute appendicitis and I sat in the ER, like they were waiting for it to actually burst. I got there after being told to go from urgent care at 7Pm Monday and didn’t get into a room until almost midnight, then was in the ER area until 12 ish PM Tuesday. The night nurses and administrators were amazing but day shift didn’t come or even acknowledge me. When I was finally ready to go up and have my surgery, they were starting to prep me and Dr Bolo came in and said he wasn’t going to be ready til 3:30 and left me in just my gown, uncomfortable until 4:10 when he decided to come back to the OR and get me ready. The male nurse in the OR was dismissive when told about uncomfortable IVs and how scared I was. The phlebotomist on Monday night was extremely unpersonable and acted as if I was nothing but an inconvenience. Absolutely horrible service other than a few nurses that were running their tails off all night, but for the rest it was inexcusable.
I was a patient on the Fourth South, and the nurses and aides were attentive and kind. Their professionalism and upbeat attitudes made me secure that everything would be alright. Great Team !!!
