TOOK MY DAUGHTER FOR AN ANXIETY ATTACK, OF COARSE SHE DID NOT WANT TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS AT FIRST, SHE OVER HEARS A NURSE TELLING ANOTHER NURSE " WE HAVE A PROBLEM CHILD" THEN THE OTHER NURSE STATES SHE CAN STAY QUITE I GET PAID ANYWAYS.... HOW DISREPECTFUL VERY UPSET!!!!!!!!
If I compare them to others in their field, I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're definitely not the best. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. Let me just say my extended and immediate family have had surgeries and various procedures here for the last 50 years and the care was always just about excellent. This time our mother had a hip replacement. The care and attention by the physicians was very good. Unfortunately, a couple of incidents with the nursing staff have ruined our opinion of this hospital. Thank the Lord our mother was pretty lucid the day after the surgery when a nurse told her she was going to administer her medication for her diabetes. OUR MOTHER DOES NOT HAVE DIABETES and informed the nurse of this. The nurse left "to check the computer". The next day a hip drainage tube was removed - while one of us waited down the hall to the blood curdling screams of our mother. Our mother is not a wimp when it comes to pain and we all realize it will be experienced - but really - could a local have been administered to take the edge off - or did they not know what the heck they were doing? Considering the previous day's incident, we're inclined to think both. Can you imagine the other poor patients on the floor hearing this???!!! Needless to day, it will be either St. Francis or Hartford Hospital from now on.
