I was admitted to the rehabilitations unit on the 5th floor. The staff was extremely caring and helpful. When ever I press the call button I had a nurse or aide in the room in a matter of minutes. In addition the when the staff asked how I was doing they actually listened and responded to help me.

Admitted for a very serious diagnosis and then dumped in a room with ZERO contact from my doctor. Had no clue what was going on and no one seemed to be able to get answers either. Will drive to another hospital before I EVER return there.

I was having some issues with depression and decided to go to the psych unit on the 6th floor for med changes. The nurses and cna's treat you horribly. I was an easy patient. You have to go do kindergarten art or following their program. We are adults. Mental health is as serious. They talk about you. They may roll their eyes if they think you can't see them. The way the desk is set up you hear them before they hear you. I didn't use medical card I'm sure they are treated much worse. Whoever supervises is doing a poor job with her unit. They take everything away from you and they don't like to walk ten steps help you retrieve it. All my lotions, shampoo, body wash was given to other patients. I never got back. Showers are dirty, I could imagine what the floor might be infested with. The cleaning lady cleans really well, but patients use shower all different times and should be sprayed after each person. I was really down and suicidal in hospital, but treated like a preschooler. Mental illness is horrible and embarrassing, don't expect to find comfort and compassion at this place. If you get a roommate in the middle of the night and you're asleep they flip on all the lights and yell "you're getting a roommate." It's hard enough getting to sleep then scared out of wits with bright lights and yelling. One cna actually threw my clothes across the room for no reason? I didn't ask for illness and I suffered greatly at the hands of the staff. I worry I may need to go back someday and it's a dreadful thought. I will try to battle my demons at home. Dr's are great as well as the meals. That's it!!! I was like bubble gum on the bottom of the nurses shoe's. I'm educated with manners. These girls may be educated, but without manners, understanding and compassion. As of now I'm currently suffering at home. Thanks St Claire for having a horrible unit and nurses. This review probably means nothing to you, just like your mental patients. Five thumbs down!!!
