Our wonderful Labrador was taken there for acting lethargic and hurting joints. All the symptoms of Lyme disease, but he was not tested. They sent him home with pain meds after checking to make sure his kidneys could "potentially" handle it. His kidneys did not. During his follow up, they told us he had kidney disease/failure and basically it's not forgiving so good luck. They said they couldn't say if the meds caused this, but it is way too ironic to me.
We got a second opinion to find he had Lyme's the whole time which hurt the kidneys in the first place let alone a kidney killer pain medication. He also was anemic and had high blood pressure. Something else they never informed us about. I believe they just figured he is going to die and gave up. When we got a second opinion, they felt so bad a Lyme's test was never done up front. Now that he is off their meds and on new ones, he is feeling more himself, but it could still be too late. We feel we let our dog down by not trusting our gut and by listening to them.
Also, they never gave him any type of kidney nutrition plan. They just sent us home with expensive food that they admitted he'd have no appetite for. He loves canned food, and we had to call back just to find out they had the prescription canned food in stock. It was never offered to us.
Not to mention, when I made another appointment, the girl was rushing me because they were closing and did not want to schedule us for the best time for us because of "how long it takes to do bloodwork" AKA I don't want to stay late (I tried for a 5 pm appointment.). Meanwhile, our dog is dying, so thanks.
I never leave bad reviews, but our buddy is not replaceable and I would hate to see anyone else's dog and family suffer this trauma.
Been with Drummond for over 25 years and I have been very satisfied with their knowledge , expeirence , service and most of all their prices . After I found them I did not even think about looking anywhere else . I would of commented sooner but did not know of this website .
My horse had something caught in his esophagus they helped me with everything as busy as they were they spent all the time i needed to answer my question and were very sympathetic they did not rake me on the bill was very Fair I will use them and Recommend to Friends and family
Nicole Drummond is on 2 year probation, has to pay $30,000.00 in fines & go back to school for 30 credit hours, take & pass the exam. The university must contact in writing the State Attorneys office to let them know Nicole had passed & taken her credits hours again. This is a public reprimand. Nicole admitted to leaving 2 puppies in a Golden Retriever and sutured them in so the puppies could be born. This was done while Nicole was preforming a C-section on this Golden Retriever. Nicole admitted to this and state attorneys office found her guilty.
Very pleased with the staff and vets here. I had my 14 year old cat put down and they were incredibly sympathetic. I received a card in the mail saying they were sorry for my loss. I also take my boxer and muggins there and have never received anything less than professional actions from them. Their services are also very affordable! I will continue to use them for my pet needs.
If you care for your pet, don't go here!! Nicole killed my Golden Retriever & left 2 puppies in her while performing a basic C-section. She sutured around the little legs of the male puppy & left his extremities hanging in to the abdominal cavity. We drove Lady Grace to Ohio State University for a full Necropsy. I sent this to the Pennsylvania State Licensing Board. There are 3 formal charges against Nicole Drummond with a hearing coming up. As soon as I find out the state will do to her, I will post it.
Very bad vets there. Nicole & her father are very rude, Nicole is loud, walks away from you when she's speaking to you, She kills dogs and horses just to watch the last breath being taken. Nicole has no business being any kind of doctor what so ever. If her father backs her up, then he's just as bad.Jack is just as bad because he backs her up. She did kill a golden retriever & sutured 2 puppies in the uterus while performing a c-section. The State of PA did go after her.
Apparently Nicole Drummond has been charged with animal cruelty and malpractice after she deliberately left 2 puppies (one of them was sewn in) inside a c-sectioned Golden Retriever. The Golden died the following day even after she was rushed back to the hospital. Dr. Jack Drummond, met the owner in the parking lot and, without examining the bitch, gave her medication for an upset stomach. Once home, the dog vomited and took her last breath. The owner of this Golden had been their loyal customer for over 20 years. If I could have given NO stars, I would have.
