First I would like to say the receptionist and Vet Tech were very friendly and helpful. However I was really not impressed with the service from Dr Everhart. I have a kitten i would like to get spayed, so i brought her in for an exam and i told them i just want to get the minimum of what is required for the spay surgery, and i would like to decline everythung that wasnt absolutly necesary. When the Dr came in she asked me to step out of the room while she did the blood work, which I thought was odd, and then when she let me back in, the exam was over and all the shots gave without even talking to me about what was going to be done. The only thing that she told me about was that she was going to give my cat an anti biotic shot because she was sneezing. She told me I needed to come back in 2 weeks to check to make sure the congestion cleared up before she could do the spay. I made that appointment and then was supper ti call back to schedule a spay. When I left I got the bill and was then told I would need a stool sample by the receptionist, not the vet. I told them I don't think I'll be able to get that as she's an outside cat and doesn't use a litter box. Then I got the bill which I was shocked it was almost $300. I paid it, which I realized was a mistake now because I didn't question anything. But when I got home and realized everything she got done that I wasn't informed about or explained to by the Dr, I called them 2 hours after my appointment to cancel the follow up appointment and ask for a refund on the $67 I was charged for the stool sample. I was told that I couldn't get a refund because I already paid and left with the container (a small blue plastic bottle). I think it's ridiculous that they won't work with me at all on something I didn't even ask for.
The Vet also did not seem to treat the vet tech very nicely, which I didn't like. Overall, I was very disappointed in both the service and prices they charged me. I will be going to a spay clinic which is what I should have some from the start i guess.

The staff is courteous and seems to care about you and your pet. The vet may be competent (which is somewhat in question as well), but she has poor communication skills, no bedside manner, and is quite frankly rude and hateful. She won't be questioned and seems more interested in collecting fees than anything else. She is unprofessional and I wouldn't take another pet to her under any circumstances. The previous vet (who sold her the practice) would never have treated pet owners the way she does. He was a kind and common sense vet that worked well with owners and their pets. It is a shame she never learned anything from him.

I took my dogs to this clinic for several years. The staff is friendly and courteous, and Dr. Everhart seemed competent. My issue with this clinic was their price of medications. I found out that some of the medications I was buying from them were much more expensive than the price of buying them online. In one case, their price was over 3 times the online price ($60 versus $16.20). Overall, I found that I could save over $100 a month by buying the medications my pets needed online. So I decided to do that. I found out that this clinic does not cooperate with online pharmacies, and that I had to go to the clinic to get the prescriptions for the medications and mail them to the online pharmacy. And this clinic had the audacity to charge me $15 for each of the prescriptions. In my opinion, getting a prescription is part of the service I paid for when I took my pets in for an examination. Charging a fee to customers who want to buy the medications from another source is just greed. It's obvious to me that they want to sell the medications to you to make money. A small markup would be understandable for the convenience of getting the medications from them. But in their case the markup is well beyond reasonable. I've now taken my business to another clinic that cooperates with online pharmacies and I'm quite happy with them.

This place is all about the money! They also do not abide by Maryland law, which states a veterinarian cannot refuse to let a client fill prescriptions elsewhere. She lies about it right to your face and when you show her proof, she disregards you as if she's above the law. Stay away from this place at all costs!!!
