my family had a very bad experience with the Hobart animal clinic.
we took our beloved dog there on the advice of our normal vet.
he referred us there because she had eye issues & he had no way to check eye pressure.
They were very nice, but after the exam the vet said she needed an eye removed ASAP! he would not treat the other eye until the eye was removed. He said the eye that needed removal had a detached lens & was just floating around in the eye.
We were devastated to say the least, they gave us a list of eye specialists to take her to, we made an appointment but had to wait a few days, the dog was in extreme pain so we called back to see if they could do anything, they said come back & they'll take care of us. we went back
& got the prescription then found they charged our credit card for someone else's prescription too, had them take it off of the card.
It was a very trying weekend for us, very upset waiting for surgery Monday. When we finally got into see the specialist she asked for the eye pressures from Hobart, they were none on the paperwork so they
called Hobart for them. Hobart said they had none on file, somebody forgot to record them. wow I couldn't believe that, then the specialist examined her & said the eye does NOT need to be removed & the lens is NOT disconnected from the eye, it can be treated. She prescribed a series of eye drops & the she's doing much better.
I would NOT go back to that place, they caused us so much pain over the course of the weekend thinking we had to face eye removal surgery
the following week.
# 1, They did NOT record the eye pressures that they took in a test that was 3 x more expensive then the specialist charged.
#2, the misdiagnosis of the detached lens & the recommended eye removal, not my family had a very bad experience with the Hobart animal clinic.

#2, the misdiagnosis of the detached lens & the recommended eye removal, not to mention the grief that went with it!
#3, refusing to treat the other eye, as we may have been able to save a little site in that eye if it was treated right away.
#4, incorrectly overcharging the credit card.
I have never written a bad review about a business but I feel I have to
share my experience.
if you care about your pet STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
