He was so good with my 15 year old Chihuahua that has been disabled for 11 years due to a big dog attack. He gave me exercises for her to strengthen her muscles that my vet hadn't suggested to me. I highly recommend his practice.

My beloved peke walks and runs because of this amazing doctor. D'Ari was thrown by a mistreated pit bull and was paralyzed from midsection to tail. We had been advised to either put him through high risk operation to fuse his spine or euthanize. D'Ari remains my ears, my friend and daily reminder to grow mentally and physically daily.

Science, health and healing come in many forms. As an engineer, I am thankful to have my thinking and problem solving processes shaken and regrown from the core.

The first time I met Dr. Mark Havekos I was amazed, and quite smitten by his unique personality, and awesome adjustments he performed our animals. He worked wonders on Aspen and a few other horses, He has been treating my horses, dogs and boarders horses the past 8 years here at Nottingham Landing Farm,on the Patuxent River in Southern Maryland. We all look forward to his visits and learn a lot every time .. We have fun, share a lot of "animal wisdom "while were at it.. The 'Elders especially, look forward to his beautiful healing hands,the adjustments that help keep our horses and dogs happy and moving..
Our southern hospitality and charm keeps him coming back. The bon- fires after the adjustments, warms all of out hearts, He is truly an amazing clinician, a huge success to our horses movements, performance. Its always is a special occasion when he comes to town. Happy New Year, Village Vet, Dr, Havekos and Nan!!

Excellent vet and also a great guy! He really cares about the animals. I have been taking dogs to him for about 20 plus years and highly recommend him. I have had several rescue dogs that had been injured (mainly hit by cars, etc. that no one else wanted to put the time and money into them) and as a result of their injuries they developed problems in their mid to later years. The only thing my regular vet could offer was pain pills, which just didn't get the job done. Dr. Haverkos gave them chiropractic treatment along with acupuncture and made a huge difference in each and every one of them. I really think I would have had to put them down years earlier if I had not found him. We live over an hour away from his office and think the trip is more than worth it. I also have a friend from South Carolina whose dog no one was able to help there who tried Dr. Haverkos and was so impressed with the results that he now drives his dog back here to be treated. Can't say enough about how pleased and thankful I am that we fund this man!

Don't hesitate! I brought 3 dogs to see Dr. Haverkos yesterday while he was consulting in my area. I am stunned at how effective his treatments (network chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture) were. A single session made an enormous difference to my Shepherd's very troubled hip joints. She actually scratched her belly this morning, balancing on her "bad" leg. Her pain, evident in past weeks in spells of panting and heavy breathing -- this despite taking pain medication -- is either greatly reduced or gone completely. Her breathing is at any rate completely normal for the first time in over a month. All of my dogs improved, and the joy this change has brought us all is incalculable.
