I read a couple of reviews prior to going to The Brook and was surprised. I have always heard such wonderful things. I am so glad that I did not let these stop me from going there with my mom!!!! We stopped in and were greeted by a friendly face and a wonderful lady. The building was beautiful and all the people we encountered were friendly. Residents were listening and clapping to music performed by a gentleman who was singing and playing the guitar. We actually found out that mom knows a couple of people that live here. Both had wonderful things to say and I think that made her feel good. I specifically asked about staffing and was happy to find out that there are only 23 residents that get assistance vs. the 50 a previous person had posted. In this case, staffing made a lot of sense and seems more than adequate. We were invited back for lunch and my mom actually started talking about getting new furniture for her apartment if she were to move. Thank god for places like The Brook.
