I strongly believe Chatham Animal Hospital has your pet's welfare in mind at all times.I had a yorkie that died at 8 yrs and it was a very traumatic experience.Dr.K and his staff were more than sympathetic and lent their knowledge and support. When I finally decided to get another dog(over a year later)I was very concerned about how I could provide medical care for my new dog.I went to another chain type animal hospital and got tied into a long contract of care.I found out that it would have been wiser to go back to Dr.K and work with him and I would have felt more secure in their care for my little Mitzy, the place that I am with now charges you monthly fees and medicines and certain procedures are not covered by your plan.I was fearful I could not afford a regular Veternarian Practice, but when you figure out each individual cost,it is comparable or higher with the chain hospital plan,I do not get the sense from them that they can give you the assurance that they care about your animal and will go the extra mile providing advice and treatment, unless it is within the guidelines of the plan that you have set up and signed.Dr.K's staff was always friendly and involved with you and your pet,it was like going back home, where the atmosphere was friendly and they knew you by name.I made a mistake going somewhere else with Mitzy,I care for her like my own children and wish I had been less worried about money and more concerned about the level of care she would receive.I still go to Chatham Animal Hospital for grooming(which is great)and really missing seeing them more, when my contract runs out I plan to go back to Dr.K and his welcoming staff.
