I should have done more research on AFIC before subjecting my family to this program. Parents and children are held accountable for everything...including any errors made by staff. It's quite troubling that the only positive reviews of the program are on the institutes web page itself.
It is also peculiar for someone who boasts to be the leading authority in certain disorders that very little information comes up when searching for Dr. Panio Jr. The statistics quoted on the website are ridiculously skewed . Either surveys are not sent to recipients that had a negative experience or they are lost in the tally. While I found some of the theories presented of interest, they were presented with such a heavy handed and demeaning manor that it's amazing anyone could get past this and extract what benefit there may be to the theories. Most materials provided are written by Dr. Panio Jr. himself and are unimpressive in addressing the intended audience and look more like a rough draft of a college paper than something from a distinguished professional. Success in this program is by chance more than by design. I didn't find any long term follow ups with patients to indicate sustained success. One takeaway from the program is to not be so willing to take advice merely because someone has a degree or extols their own infallibility. Mostly I suggest you do as much independent research on on any program as possible before entering into any agreement for treatment. Understandably this is difficult in time of crisis, but every effort should be made to have several objective opinions before making a decision.
