Great service pharmacist are very helpful staff is very friendly if they don't have your medicine they get it by that evening or the next day. Have a question they answer it explaining the risk and the side effects. Been a customer with the past 12 years wouldn't go any place else
I grew up at 30-49 Crescent St., which was called "Roman Gardens". When the "old" Astoria General Hospital was built as an addition to the original Daly Sanitarium, it was a two-story bldg. It was re-named "Astoria General Hospital. There was a pharmacy located within the hospital (where the Emergency/Ambulance entrance is now.) Some years later, two floors were added to the hospital, which underwent even more changes later, in name, affiliation, etc. The latest I see is the newest addition at Crescent St. & 30th Rd., an enormous multi-story bldg. facing the "Whitney Crescent" Apt. House on 30th Rd. I'm now retired and living in Florida. Haven't been back to Astoria in years. The pharmacy apparently moved across 30th Ave. at some time. That location, during my youth, was a local tavern frequented by the neighborhood men. When I was a tyke, I remember my dad taking me in there once and getting me a coke! LOL! If that pharmacy is as good as the one it replace in the hospital, I can understand why it would be a neighborhood favorite.
