NIGHTMARE!!! BEWARE of CRESTWAY ANIMAL CLINIC and EDWARD J. NICHOLS. This vet repeatedly mistreated my cat, up to and including performing unauthorized surgery on her under anesthesia (which is in his OWN HANDWRITING on his own chart) which she was NOT a candidate for considering she was elderly, collapsed, "very dehydrated," and in "multiple organ shutdown" (those last two entries ALSO IN HIS OWN WRITING). He performed this surgery without presurgical labwork or preanesthetic monitoring, and no post-surgical care, including NO IV FLUIDS at any time. I got her to four second opinion vets at another facility but it was too late to undo the damage Nichols had done to her, but she lived long enough to leave plenty of evidence of what this one-man HORROR SHOW had done to her, while smiling and deceiving me about her condition and what he did/didn't do. When he realized she was still alive, he called me repeatedly at home SCREAMING at me that SUKI IS DYING and to bring her home and "be with her." I filed a 54-page complaint with the state board which he slimed his way out of (only ONE vet had the authority to decide the outcome of the complaint and that creep deliberately ignored ALL of the evidence of wrongdoing) and Nichols still wasn't happy that he got away with EVERYTHING, including the worst records you've ever seen (omissions of weight, temperature, Rx drugs, symptoms, diagnoses, etc.) . I told Suki's Story on the internet and testified to the Sunset commission in Austin, and Nichols got LAWYERS to come after me in a bully SLAPP suit designed to silence me and take away my First Amendment rights. HE FAILED. I had three expert vet witnesses who confirmed in writing the repeated mistreatment of my cat, including a board certified anesthesiologist from Texas A&M who found NINE VIOLATIONS OF THE STANDARD OF CARE ON ONE DAY ALONE. Nichols never stopped siccing his lawyers on me no matter how many times he got kicked to the curb. The night before trial this COWARD RAN rather than face the truth in court, never mind dragging me and my family through a legal hell for almost three years. Nichols is a slimeball with a good act and enough money to bully anybody. Well, he couldn't bully me and he couldn't bully the FACTS and PROOF. Now his little helpers, family and friends post phony 5-star reviews all over the net while some of them send me hate mail calling me crazy. If you want to see crazy go look at Ed Nichols, a Jekyll and Hyde if there ever was one. Suki and I are not his only victims, so if he is stoooopid enough to come after me again he might be surprised to find out he can't silence everybody. If you love your pet AVOID CRESTWAY ANIMAL CLINIC at all costs. Read Suki's Story at the Veterinary Abuse Network - the site Nichols tried to dismantle using his money and lawyers and FAILED like the looooser that he is.

NIGHTMARE experience. AVOID Crestway Animal Clinic and Edward J. Nichols at all costs. The mistreatment my cat received was beyond anything imaginable. This QUACK Nichols put my elderly, collapsed cat under anesthesia without my knowledge or consent, gassed her with halothane and nitrous oxide (basically POISON at this stage of her life, according to other vets), and left her in a cage to die without notifying me. If I had not gotten her to second opinion vets I would have never known what this freak had actually done to her. Nichols is a total FREAK - don't fall for his act. He's been pulling it off for years and stupid people fall for things like stray animals in the lobby that he supposedly cares for (yeah, right, they have no owners, so he can do whatever he wants with them), and his supposedly "cheap" prices. There's a reason this QUACK Nichols is cheap -- HE STINKS. Then, as if killing my cat wasn't bad enough, he came after me with a team of lawyers to try to take away my First Amendment rights in a hideous lawsuit that lasted almost three years - he was THAT desperate to try to silence me from telling others what he did to an innocent animal. He FAILED and the court not only denied his bogus injunction the appeals court kicked him to the curb as well. My testifying vet expert from Texas A&M found nine violations of the standard of care that Nichols had committed on ONE DAY ALONE. To this day he struts around claiming he did nothing wrong to Suki -- he is a stupid, incompetent, negligent A-hole who hides behind anybody he has to when he is caught (and I am not his only victim, believe me). I beg you to NEVER take your pets there. Even if you *think* he's treating them properly, the fact is you will never really know exactly what he's doing. You will only know what he tells you, just like I did, until nine other vets (three in WRITING) confirmed all of the WRONG that was done to Suki. WORST VET ANYWHERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. our family has used him for more than 18 years and have always been happy with how our pets and ourselves were treated.
I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. This veterinarian was so incredibly compassionate when my pet was sick. They consoled me when I was upset and even gave me a hug. I have had pets all my life and have never found a veterinary office this good.
