I came to this part of South Dakota to train pointing dogs for hunting and competition. So far, we've had to take dogs there for minor emergencies (like wounds or removal of speargrass from down in dog's ears) as well as routine shots and tests. This is to say that I am not a long-time customer, but was certainly treated like one. The staff running the front part of the business are very friendly, polite, and happy to help; and the two (of the three) vets that we've worked with were both knowledgeable and friendly. If, like me, you're used to an urban vet with every test and machine known to man (and the billing department), keep in mind that this is a rural vet practice dealing with both large and small animals. When they couldn't do something for us, they were very helpful in helping us find the nearest practice that could.

I brought in a stray dog that I had found and wanted to take in. They helped me with everything I needed and even sent me home with a bag of food until I could get some! They were friendly and definitely wanted to make sure I got all the care for my new pup that I needed.

I just moved to town from a larger city and I was appalled at the conditions of this clinic. The yard was full of dog poop and the inside was dingy, ceiling tiles were falling out for crying out loud. The staff was mostly friendly, but the receptionist I dealt with was super rude. She was a larger woman with dark hair, don't know her name. She was yelling at one of the other employees while I was waiting for my appointment. And there was this disgusting yellow cat that kept trying to crawl on my lap. I will never go back there again.

The vets are extremely nice and extremely patient and understanding. The vet overall is great. I have had many of my pets in there and even in emergency situations and I have always felt like my pets were in good hands. The only problem I have with this vet is with one of the vet techs. She is EXTREMELY rude, insensitive and judgmental. She sometimes works the front desk and when I call and she answers or I see her up there, I know I am going to get talked down to. SHe is rude to not only the clients, but her co workers as well. She's one I don't want anywhere near my pets with that attitude. There is another woman that typically works the front desk that is FANTASTIC! She's the most understanding woman I have ever met. The rest of the staff is pretty much awesome. Due to the fact that this one vet tech is so rude, I will never be returning to this vet unless she is no longer working there and they find someone who is a little more friendly. If you can deal with her nasty attitude, the rest of the service at this vet is phenomenal!
