I have recently moved to Allentown, so I changed vets. I have to say, I really miss Stroudsburg Animal Hospital. The staff is so caring, and the vets take time to answer all my questions. The office set-up is not the newest or the ritziest, but the care is top notch.

Dr. Bower and his friendly staff have always educated me on what I could do better to help keep my pets healthy and happy, and have really stressed the importance of taking care of my pets teeth. I always leave there with a better understanding of proper pet health, and have found their recommendations to be incredibly helpful. I've been attended to almost as soon as I've entered the office. I've not had to reorganize my day around my appointment at all. I absolutely appreciate the vets and staff there. They are compassionate and understanding and so nice to my pets when we arrive. I have already recommended Stroudsburg Animal Hospital to my friends, and will continue to do so. They have a designated area for pets to go to the bathroom here, which is extremely convenient. I never have to worry about scouting out a place for my dog to "go". They are the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It doesn't matter how many times I've called with a question or concern, they are always happy to help me. This week I had to lay my 11 year old Golden Retriever to rest. Dr. Bower and his dedicated and kind staff were so supportive and comforting. I just love them and all they have done for our pets. We have been going there with our pets for 19 years. They're awesome.

Dr. Bower and staff are the most caring I know. I took my dog there for at least the last 10 years my dog lived after I moved to PA. My dog lived until 16 and if it weren't for his diabetes he may have lived longer. My dog had several emergencies (once had eaten a poison mushroom and went into shock) and Dr. Bower took him in immediately, watched over him the entire time and with some shots and antibiotics he was back to health. My dog came there in shock and Dr. Bower and staff saved his life. When my dog got urinary tract stones, he was older by then and I was explained the risk of surgery yet also the benefit in making him well if it all went well. I chose the surgery because I'd not been let down by Dr. Bower before. I could tell he really loved animals the way he took care of my dog and others. He watched over my dog for days. At one point my dog wasn't doing well and it didn't look good, Dr. Bower was very up front with me and was so concerned he checked on my dog all night long, kept him well and he got better and survived the surgery successfully. At the time my dog had diabetes which didn't help, but he came through and I owed it all to the Stroudsburg Animal Hospital. As time went on my dog got older and couldn't fight his diabetes and at 16 years old, I was lucky he lived that long. Unfortunately I had to lay him to rest. The entire staff at the Stroudsburg Animal Hospital was fully supportive of my loss. I know that when/if I get another pet I will surely go there again.

They gave me information however, not enough. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff and the Veterinary physician left a needle stuck in my dog's back while he ran around. They did not invite me to come in with my pet. I also felt they did not help with the main problem. The Vet told me that my pet was limping because he has lyme disease but he did not tell me how to help him. He is still limping. They were very unprofessional by living a needle in my pet. l would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.

SVH is the ONLY VET my husband and I trust our 2 dogs (Pit Bull & a Chihuahua/Jack Russel Mix) and our cat! They are reasonably priced, happy to work with you, care about your animals and are just truly GREAT people and GREAT VETS! Every single person employed by this Vet Hospital are the best people on Earth to ever trust your Fur-Babies to! Heck, they even saved our Pit's life last year by doing an emergency spay to treat pyometra when no other local vet would! ALL other local Vets just suggested we put her to sleep! SVH saved our Fur-babies life and worked with us to do it in a way we could afford it without "looking down on us," or making us feel small for being poor... like SO MANY Vets do. My family and I would not go anywhere else and HIGHLY recommend STROUDSBURG VETERINARY HOSPITAL!
