Have taken our wonderful pugs there for many, many years. (since sometime in the mid 80's)
Dr. Sandy Gavin is, and always has been there for our pugs, Kelly, and now, Zack and Zoie. Has pulled them thru some tough times, and always with care and professionalism. Staff has always been courteous and friendly.

We took our dog to Gavin for years. Never had much incident accept that my dog was absolutely terrified of the place, and would start shaking as soon as we pulled into the driveway. Not a huge deal, lots of pets are afraid of the vet. But the staff didn't seem sympathetic to the situation. I understood that they had to muzzle the dog (I mean, duh), but they made me feel stupid, and responsible for the dogs fear. However, I just let that go, because I figured dealing with fearful animals was something that they did on a daily basis, and was probably frustrating. HOWEVER; when my dog suddenly began to breathe heavily, CONSTANTLY, and pace around the house throughout the night, I knew something was very wrong. We took her to the vet a few times, even made an emergency visit. We called at night even, we were so concerned for the dogs health. The vet and staff never acted like her condition was a big deal, which, obviously it was; the dog dropped dead in our driveway a few days later. If they would've come clean and said how serious it was (or even took note that it was serious themselves) I would've put her down. I hate to think her my dogs last day on earth went. We see a new vet now for our new puppy.

They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable.
