I called the after hours number twice. First time was because I was treating a hot spot on my 15 year old Husky and found maggots. I was advised by the vet, that she would be fine until the morning. About two hours later I found her crying and stuck in her dog door. She was unable to walk and was dragging her hind quarters. I called the after hours number again and was told to give her an aspirin and he would see her in the morning. Clearly not some one who cares about an animals well being. Thankfully Boswell Animal Kare saw her that night. Her condition was far worse than we realised and she had to be euthanized that night. We miss her terribly, but are so thankful that she didn't have to suffer longer than she did.
