Dr. Jim is great with my cats, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a caring veterinarian. And he knows his stuff.

Barabara, the vet tech, is the BEST! She seems to single-handedly keep the vet hospital running, like a well oiled machine. She is ALWAYS understanding and compassionate of my concerns! It's obvious that she cares about my pet. She and Dr. Rausch make a great down-to-earth, no-nonsense team.

They were incredible. They consoled me and even gave me a hug.

This is a small and humble-looking clinic, situated in an old farmhouse on Route 1A in Ellsworth. But don't let the lack of high-tech flashiness fool you: the quality of care is second to none, and Dr. Jim Rausch as been great to work with. He's always willing to answer my questions about my cats (or cats in general) and listen to my hopes and concerns regarding my cats' health. I'm a savvy pet owner, I know what kind of relationship I want to have with my vet (and how I want my vet to relate to my cats), and I don't settle for a mediocre vet because I don't know any better. I've been using this clinic for three years now, and Dr. Rausch had some VERY big shoes to step into in terms of "good vet" standards. I'm glad my colleagues recommended Ellsworth Vet to me when I moved to the area.
