If there were SIX STARS to rate this spa, I would give it. As a professional yacht captain who has enjoyed spas around the world, it was a terrific surprise when I stepped into Avante Spa in Kingston. Originally, I just wanted a haircut and a manicure, but once I saw this appealing spa, I went for the "full monty." Haircut by Kelly was exactly to order, including a nice scalp massage. Next is was Jenette for a refreshing mani/pedi and topped the day off with an invigorating facial at the talented hands of Amy. Of course, I had to schedule a deep tissue massage with Jessica the next day... in fact it was so relaxing that I came back the following day for a second session with Jessica. I mean, she "put me out" like I was a light switch. All the while, the staff provides refreshments unending and after the massage; fresh fruits and nuts to reawaken the conscience. You know, my next course up the Hudson River is going to include yet another stop in Kingston just so I can stop and enjoy the "chi" that this spa has. Very well done to Alicia and her crew.

It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. I've already told my friends and family about the fantastic experience I had there. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. Their staff is so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was with my previous hairstylist for years and after taking my teen daughter to Avante for a haircut, I switched. It is true that the price for an "updo" is a bit high, but my daughter loved the experience when she went there before her first formal. It was fun. I couldn't be happier, and the staff are never rude; quite the opposite. Every time I go there it is a pleasant experience, and I love the way my hair is cut! The best!

They must think we live in Beverly Hills. This place is way overpriced for Kinston, NY. My daughter went to this salon to get her hair styled for the prom with her friends. I have never been here before and did not know what I was getting into. I am very happy with my favorite salon in Poughkeepsie and reget not taking my daughter there. She wanted to be with her friends and I could understand that. Well, let me warn you that the staff is rude. In addition, the service was horrible. These girls just wanted their hair styled for the prom. No wash and no haircuts. The result: THE WORST HAIR STYLES EVER. The girls could of styled their hair better and saved their money. My daughter has very long hair all one length. She wanted her hair trimmed a little bit and then her hair stlyed with long spiral curls. And they charged me $80.00. The rest of the girls were charged $50 - $65 each. They really took advantage of these young girls and gave them really poor service.

After living in NYC and going to one of the best salons, Frederick Fekei, I was very nervous about finding a salon in the Ulster County area where I relocated, but Avante is the Frederick Fekei in the Kingston Area!! After my first visit, I was hooked. This salon has very talented, professional & amazing staff. I have very difficult thin long blonde hair and with Alicia Beisel's help (the salon owner) and Keri I now have beautiful healthy highlighted hair. I would also recormmend this salon for weddings. On the morning of my wedding my bridal party of 11 girls arrived to the salon to find a table of fresh fruit, champagne and bagels decorated in my wedding colors. I was stunned and surprised. The entire staff catered to my wedding party. All of the bridal party had long hair with up do's done in addition to manicures. Avante made me beautiful & without them my wedding would not have been the same. Ladies, if you want to be pampered by the best, you should visit this Salon!

After struggling to find a person to layer and color my hair exactly the way I want it, I was overwhelmed with joy at the finished product of my haircut with Kelly at Avante. Looking back I can't believe I ever went anywhere else. Kelly had all the new hair coloring and cutting trends. I would recommend this salon to anybody.
