I had the worst experience in my life at this salon! I have been in cosmetology school for a semester now so I know what should and should not happen in a salon. My hair is curly and my stylist Jamie did not give me the style I asked for at all. She was running (literally) around the salon rushing everything. I told her I wanted a lot of layers and she gave me levels to the point where I saw every single line she had cut. I also told her that I did not want any of my length cut off in which she cut three inches off my hair. While blow drying my hair she placed to nozzle directly on my hair to speed the drying process. This left my hair damaged, brittle and very dry. The straightener and blow dryer she used were dirty and out dated. She also told me that she went to Paul Mitchell cosmetology school and apparently they didn't teach her anything. When I left the salon I wanted to cry, my bangs that I asked to be straight across we're going in my eyes and we're not even. My boyfriend who knows nothing about hair immediately noticed that is was cut wrong. I was completely embarrassed for anyone to see me and looked at the ground the whole time I walked through the mall to find the people I came with. I decided to go back into the salon to get my money back and the manager blended my layers in the back but not the front. I was scared to let her cut my bangs because they were already very short. I also heard the stylist Jamie say to her client in the chair "well that's what she asked for" no I did not ask to have unblended layers or frizzy, damaged hair that felt like straw when I left. I had to put a hot oil treatment in my hair when I got home and that still didn't help much. I am still agitated with this stylist to the point that I will NEVER go back to this salon again. I still have to find somewhere to go to get my hair fixed once I get the courage up to trust another stylist.

I've gotten mediocre to decent hair cuts here. I wish their stylists were a little more "with the times." I love just being able to walk in and get a haircut right away; I just wish the haircuts were better.

(lol'ng at the automatic review function) :p I love Belk's Salon! I've been to boutiques, hole-in-the-wall-hoity-toity salons, Fantastic Sams, the mall, etc. None of them have made me as happy as Belk's. It's right on the outside of the building so you don't have to walk through the store to get to your hair appt. The owner is so welcoming and friendly and the staff calls to confirm your appt. after you've set it (helpful for me because I have the memory of a goldfish). I've gotten color, cuts, style, purchased products, racked my stylist's brain with hair questions. All of the stylists there do a great job and my stylist, Miss Denise, is so patient and happy to work with me (I am a -very- particular customer). I never feel rushed and the prices are absolutely reasonable to the service I get. Best place to get your hair done!!

I was immediately at ease upon entering the salon, very relaxing without pretension. I was so impressed with the transformation I was able to make after visiting Suzanne. I went in telling her that my hair had been neglected during my pregnancy and I needed a sexy new hairstyle for my anniversary dinner and to celebrate the birth of my son.

My hair went from dull and frumpy, to flirty and fabulous. All my styling, product usage, and hair care questions were answered thoroughly. She did the most in-depth color consultation I have ever received.

She would not go to a color that was going to damage my hair or I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I was told that if I was unhappy with the way my color, cut, or style came out, or if my products did not work to my satisfaction they would make it right.

It was very easy to get an appointment. She has a very busy, yet flexible schedule and was able to get me in quickly every time. Suzanne never rushed me, and even bought me a Coke when I was feeling sick and needed to have something to take my medications with.
