This nursing facility was able to meet my mother's needs. She had Alzheimer's Disease. She would wander out of my home out into the streets and was always at danger of hurting herself. I did not have to worry about her wandering out of this nursing home. The home is a locked facility. This put my mind at ease because if you know anything about Alzheimer's people you will know that they will NOT keep socks, shoes or wander gards on their body. The employees are well educated on how to care for people with Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of Dementia. They are not perfect but they were able to care for my mother. My mother was happy being able to wander around the building whenever she felt like walking. It's not a big facility and I liked that also. If she was not on her unit she was not hard to find. The nurses always called when anything changed on her care, like when the doctor saw her, if meds were changed, if she fell, if she started acting different, if she would not eat, etc. I would recommend this nursing facility to anyone who has a family member with this disease or with other forms of Dementia.
