worst skilled nursing I've seen and I have seen a lot. These people hurt my loved one and made them bed ridden when they went in for a couple weeks physical therapy. Lots of lying and not a lot of compassion.

The facility is clean and updated. The nursing staff needs classes on treating patients with compassion. One nurse was very condescending and made my mothers stay there unpleasant. Most of the aids are lazy, slow moving and have attitudes. My mother was suppose to be showered twice a week, she was here 5 weeks and was showered 3 times. You have to constantly be on top of them, which they do not appreciate. The few aids that were caring we gave them a small token of appreciation, a 25 collar gift card to Stop and Shop. We were told afterwards by the aids that they were not able to keep it. I don't know who ended up with it. I would have liked to have been told. I would have brought in pizza or goodies to the staff.

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. They practice legal euthanasia by administering lethal drug overdoes that go undetected. Their idea of "hospice" is to force the family out the door at 8pm all the while issuing threats, and denying the family access to their loved one in their last moments on this earth.

The geriatric "doctor" Barrasso is the "closer". He probably won't even have the time to visit your loved one in person before he condemns them to death. I am quite positive my mother would not have died if she were not in this facility. He signs the death certificate after making sure that your elderly relative no longer sucks up medicare resources from other more "worthy" individuals by causing premature drug-induced deaths that are untraceable and cannot be proved very easily. Death is caused by a cocktail of unnecessary or contra-indicated drugs, like morphine (roxanol), ativan, klonopin, haldol, methadone, lortab, restoril, seroquel, mysterious "vitamins", morphine "boluses", excessive use of nitroglycerin patches and creams, denying access to water and an inappropriate diet leading to awful dehydration and starvation.

He and his staff will lie to your face (like you are stupid) when you question them about the drug-protocol they force onto your loved one. If he is your loved one's "doctor" call your funeral director because you will be at a funeral real soon... He is bad news. He will not show his face to the family, and is deliberately unavailable to the patients under his care. He directly ordered my mother's death by drugs, but I cannot prove it because he & his staff are a group of lying sneaky criminals who think they are God(s) and have this routine down to a science, covering each other axxes. If you question their "treatment" plan you will be removed from the facility, and threatened with legal action. They practice legal euthanasia. Beware if you come under this guy's care, especially at the Wingate Nursing Home in Reading, MA (absolutely a greedy death-mill with smiling staff), and at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA. He & his staff "killed" both my parents right before my eyes... and I was powerless to stop it. Once you get wise to what they are doing and start to ask questions, they will bar you from the facility and you will never see your loved one alive again. If you make plans to move your loved one to another place, your loved one will die that evening... It does not matter if you are the Health Care Proxy and there is no DNR. The nurses will come in the dead of night and by confusing your loved one, will force the patient to sign the DNR and will remove you from HCP. They are the Devil Incarnate, and are PURE EVIL DOERS with an evil agenda.

This practice should be stopped by law enforcement. Death panels exist and they are in your neighborhood all over the USA making life/death decisions about your loved ones. Get used to it - it will be your turn soon enough...

I will continue to post this information until the day I die. www.hospicepatients.org

This is a Nursing Home and not a typical outpatient facility although they do some therapy.
As a Nursing Home they are typical. They hire a great number of very slow and tired foreign workers. They do their best but they are ALWAYS short staffed according to the answers we get from the staff.
The place needs some upgrading. The current cleaning staff does a pretty good job but the rugs are old, the wallpaper is old and torn in some spots. The food is average to not so good. They changed food vendors recently (probably cost cutting) and the new vendor is not in tune with the residents needs. The care is good as Nursing Homes go. The staff does care and they are a tight knit group (except the Aides). I could clearly understand how there would be a confidentiality breach there since everyone seems to know everyone's business, diagnosis and care.

I was very disappointed in the Social Worker. I spoke to her in confidence and she went and called my sister and told her everything I said. First thing I asked was was this conversation in confidence and she said yes. The next day I received a call from my sister telling me everything I said. I think that is called a "Breach of Confidence". The staff that takes care of my Mom is wonderful. But I don't feel comfortable with the Nursing Home because of the above.
