I visited eight nursing homes to find a facility that I felt would fit the needs for my wife's care and rehab following a serious injury. I am so thankful to have found Oakridge. The care was wonderful; the building was by far the cleanest of any I checked and the entire staff was loving and caring. I can enthusiastically recommend Oakridge--it is certainly the best I have ever seen.

I would advise anyone to carefully consider anything other than putting a loved one in Oakridge Nursing Facility. I received a call from my neighbor recently asking that I pick him up at Oakridge and take him home. When I arrived to pick him up, I found him almost dead. He was obviously heavily drugged and could barely hold his head up. When I ask the administrator about the drug he was being given I was told to leave the facility. Having worked with this man just days earlier, for 10 consecutive days, on his farm, I can tell you I saw a completely different person. While having no significant health issue from the time I had last seen the man, it was painfully obvious what happened to him. This man called me and ask me to come and take him home, stating to the Facility Administrator that he wanted to leave, yet she would not allow him to leave. I was told that members of his family would not allow him to leave because of his condition yet the day before, after he had been administered drugs for the better part of a week, family members checked him out of the facility, took him to his bank and attorney to have a "new power of attorney" and a new "will" drawn. Yet a man with his mind still functioning, stating that he wanted to leave, was forced to stay in the facility. No, under no circumstances would I allow even a farm animal to stay at that facility. And furthermore, to the Administrator, I would say "respect" is earned and from your actions, you have earned NONE ! Beware of this facility and the people working there...they do NOT have your loved ones best interest at heart. Only the almighty dollar that they represent !

Not at all. They closed early even though they knew I needed help

He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.
