I stayed h has been abysmalere from Nov 2023- Feb 2024. I found the therapy staff, nurses and aides on my wing to be wonderful, attentive, and concerned with patient's well being. Unfortunately the parent company, Athena, is obviously more interested in profits than providing quality care. They have, IMHO, refused to budget for quality, well-trained food service staff, and do not seem to see a need to train the aides in proper care and attitude in dealing with patients. The food service has been abysmal, with unsupervised shifts being unable to prepare foods to acceptable standards.
This is all seriously deficient compared to what I experienced here 4 years ago. Athena's priorities are made more obvious with their recently noted delinquencies in paying taxes in the cities and towns where they own facilities. In my town alone they are 2 years in arrears to the tune of $750,000.
Athena needs to stop being a money grubbing company taking advantage of patients, and start supplying quality customer care.

I was a patient there for the whole month of June 2017.Every one was really nice there. I felt right at home there and I actually wished I could have stayed there longer.I'd highly recommend this nice convalescent home to anybody.Thanks so much,Litchfield Woods.Love you!
