New Insights II was very helpful to me in coping with my addiction. Despite all my defenses and excuses they helped me confront my problem and develop a program of recovery to deal with life on life's terms. They were also very supportive in dealing with my legal situation. The staff and counselors were all great and it was obvious they care about what they do. Nobody wants to need addiction treatment but I am grateful I went to New Insights and now I have the tools I need to live a comfirtabke life , clean and sober.

Do not go here for court mandated drug/alcohol evaluation. I was told the cost was $130. They also give you a drug test which was NOT mandated by the court. I assumed the cost for this would be covered by the $130. Well this was not the case at all. They billed my insurance co. for $512. She never mentioned anything about the cost for this which in my opinion was deceitful. I think they are worried about making money as a business more than anything else. My attorney told me to avoid this place and now I know why. I guess I'm not the 1st person to be screwed over by this place. Definitely would never go here again.

my experience: i believe I connected more with the desk staff, the nice ladies who answered the phone, though some did both schedule and council, the ones i felt easiest to speak and "council" with were the ladies who took my outrageous payment. I will not deny i made mistakes legally that landed me in the position i am in now, but the council and their administrative management seemed more like collections agents rather than someone who cared about my chemical abuse. i was a heavy drinker in my time, there is no doubt in this, but the PA state crime i was attending counciling for had nothing to do with this.. the fact is i had a grasp on my problem and was alcohal free, stone sober, starting August 17 2011. and yet they focused on my inhibition, the one i had a solid grasp on... I work swing shift, meaning my shifts vary from day to day throughout the week, while abiding to a corporate schedule (short and sweet, my monthly days will stay the same week to week, but to the shift i work on that day will fluctuate.) My councilor, i well to do woman, who, in my opinion, had no grasp on the way a substance can take hold of you, the way alcohol did for me. If you cannot understand that, how could you understand the mental determination it takes to just stop, like i had. I had been charged with, this time around, with dui marijuana...via bloodtest, Long story short, i had a small amount in my vehicle and my 45 minute sobriety test could not pin me on driving under the influence, so a trip to the police barracks, a pupil dialation test and a blood test was sure to . i will not deny i smoked marijuana that week, but i did not smoke and jump into a motorvehicle and take a joyride. back to the review...New Insights wanted me to attend 5 AA meetings a week, (thats alcoholics annonymous, not narcotics annonymous) all while showing up every tuesday night for a councilling. i informed them this would not comply with my work schedule, tuesdays i could open, work mid, work close or be off, depending on that particular week in that particular month...theyre responce to my problem was...."Well, either you lose you job, or you goto jail..." i immediately cancelled all counselling and moved on. New Insights does not care for you or your problem, as long as they get that check, your just another number, steer VERY clear of this place, they are more worried about your payment then your well being...
