Excellent Doctor. Understood my issues and helped me work through many depression, anxiety related problems.
I would love to have her as my Dr. Once again. Best Phyciatrist I have ever ran accross.

Very rude, hateful, snobbish type- appears materialistic with an array of clutter in her office. I will say the woman is intelligent (book smart); bad for clients her LACK OF ability to relate with the (generally) poverty level client base. My recommendations, if continuing to prescribe or practice: The ability to relate to the client base, spend a bit more time listening vs. preaching, respecting staff/clients! Most definitely refresh and practice the H.I.P.P.A./ patient privacy. The shouting to me and witnessing the same to other clients (while office door open/ many observe/hear) my own, others, personal diagnosis and/or sensitive topics. It's so disrespectful .... being prescribed extremely (maxing out, dangerously) high doses of SSNRI/SSRI amongst other mood stabilizers. My physical health declined, my liver and kidney functions were off. I was puzzled because my family doctor and another specialist questioned my consumption of alcohol, and strange questions about taking Tylenol. I mentioned the situation to a therapist, and all the sudden, I am given an order for labs and repeat lab work. With some research, and speaking with my family doc, I became aware of 'black box warnings' and all the med changes. This frustration was addressed, I was upset; No matter, I was scolded in a disrespectful tone. Fortunately, after 2 years, being misdiagnosed, filled with toxic amounts of unnecessary meds, my options were no longer limited.
All is well with my mood - I have a proper diagnosis, reasonable and tolerable medications! Thankfully, my liver, and kidney functions went back to 'normal range' (as they were before my horrible experience with Gina Puzzuoli. In my opinion, this woman is burnt out, lacks compassion, spends very little time (7 minutes) with clients, also felt like I was being pushed in and out- The revolving door of sit and script! My guess (being early for apps)? She could get at least 10 clients in and out, maybe more, within an hour and still have time to answer non stop ringing phone. Please.. Dr. P, will you retire? Oh, and please, do something with those glasses? Anything but continue to keep them on the tip/end of your nose!!

I met Dr. Gina in 1986. She helped me with my depression. I was raised in an alcoholic, abusive home. I had no memories of my childrenhood. My older sisters told me about it. I was in my late 30's when I started crying for no reason, I didn't leave my house for 3 years. I had a fear of dying. I thought I had something physically wrong with me. My husband took me to every kind of doctor and to many out of state doctors. I became suicidal and thought I was going crazy. I was so afraid for my husband to leave me alone because I was afraid I would die if he was gone. I couldn't sleep for fear of dying. We finally found a doctor at UK who found nothing physically wrong with me and suggested that I see a psych. My OBY-GYN found Dr. Gina for me. She was caring and she put me on an anti-depressant Elavil. My moods became stable and then came the counseling. As we talked about my childhood and some of the memories started to return and we worked through them, I began to get better. It was not an overnight success. I wanted to get better. I had so much anger, hurt, sadness, low self-esteem, etc. that I had held inside for many years. As I worked through each one I became less depressed and learned that it wasn't my fault that I had a dysfunctional family. The abuse had ran in my family for generations. I'm still on Elavil and I struggle with changes in my life but I know there is always help there for me. I highly recommend Dr. Gina. She's wonderful and caring and is there when you need her. I live out of state and I have seen other psychs since her but she is the best I have ever seen. I wish you well Dr. Gina.
