Dr. Elloway attempted to do a colonoscopy on me circa 2007 at Providence Centralia. His nurse blew my vein while attempting to sedate me; consequently, the sedation didn’t kick in until I arrived back at my home. I felt extreme pain during the procedure, causing me to cramp up, which kept Dr. Elloway’s instrument from going very far up the colon. He kept attempting, ramming the instrument, and I felt like he was close to perforating my colon. He eventually gave up, telling me that he was unsuccessful, and that I should come back in a year or so and he would “try again”. I endured an awful lot of pain because mistakes were made by the doctor and his nurse. That was about 15 years ago, and this awful experience has kept me from ever going back to a doctor for another (attempt) colonoscopy.
