I have known and used the services of Dr. Lie-Ping Chang for over 30yrs in the Alexandria area. I was referred to him by another attending Doctor of Osteopathy physician in the Chicago region in 1983. Having severe spinal injury from childhood, and subsequently hit head on and from behind, including a gymnastics accident in the mid-1960s, Dr. Chang is the only physician who has been very successful in providing the relief I need from severe spasm and pain that recurs several times per year. Dr. Chang has treated my daughter for a fall and successfully evaluated her at age 2yrs. Most recently, Dr. Chang has evaluated my husband and applied acupuncture with very good result for a very painful spasm. Quite a comparison between this treatment by this doctor, and the treatment by spinal surgeons and ERs. If x-rays were needed, I was sent for them, but his first treatment option or only treatment option is NOT drugs first. As a family we are very happy with his practice, with his extensive knowledge and life-long experience, and the multiple treatment options we are given, again, versus just drugs and other expensive requirements. If more of the medical community had this sort of training as a Doctor of Osteopathy, all the same training and stringent testing of the M.D. license, and with the extensive spinal knowledge and manipulation of the spine that I personally feel is far far safer than chiropractic, we would have greater result at lesser expense and come away having learned something from a physician like Dr. Chang. Dr. Chang has also served our U.S.Army Medical Corp Reserve approximately 30 years, reaching the level of General (Retired). This is a local physician of outstanding service to the nation, and we have his knowledge and expertise locally. This is the one doctor who has and continues to provide relief and sound consultation for my complicated spinal disability since 1983. THANK YOU.

I am going to refer everyone I know here. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. Acupunture treatment is the best. The Doctor is compassionate and very engaged with the patient and outcomes.

Always available when I need him in an emergency, Dr. Chang always gets me back on my feet quickly, usually in a single visit -- and I'm good for another year or 2. If you could only see a "before" and "after" picture of me, barely able to walk, bent over and in pain changed into walking upright without pain.
